We’re here for you.
Pacific Grove Animal Hospital is a new veterinary practice in a location with a long history as Peninsula Animal Hospital, established by Dr. Ted Hollister in 1959 and continued by Dr. William Cleary from 1991 to 2010. During its six-decade history as an animal hospital, it has provided veterinary care of all creatures belonging to three generations of the residents of Pacific Grove. Dr. Brynie Kaplan Dau is the new owner of the hospital and carries on the long tradition of comprehensive and compassionate health care for animals initiated by Dr. Hollister 62 years ago. Dr. Cleary has passed the baton of hospital ownership to Dr. Kaplan Dau who grew up in Pacific Grove and lives here with her husband and nine-year-old twins. Dr. Kaplan Dau has been practicing on the Monterey Peninsula for over 10 years and is thrilled to be back in her hometown of Pacific Grove where she grew up.

What our clients are saying
“As a veterinarian, Dr. Brynie Kaplan-Dau has tended to my dogs and pigs for years . Her care was always well-received and collaborative in terms of decision-making with me, my pets’ ultimate care giver. I felt and was integral to my pets’ care. It is why I have followed her practice to where she is now, in Pacific Grove.”
“Dr. Kaplan Dau understands that your pet is a part of your family. She is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate towards what is best for your pet and your family. I’ve been to several vets in the Monterey Bay area, and she is truly the best!”
