Boarding Requirements

To keep every guest safe and healthy, we follow a boarding protocol with no exceptions. We do not board aggressive animals, and every pet needs a wellness and temperament exam before boarding.

Dogs

  • Wellness and temperament exam
  • A negative fecal test within the past year. If the test was positive, your dog must be treated and re-tested before boarding, with lab results submitted.
  • A prescription-strength flea medication applied within 30 days of boarding
  • Vaccines: rabies, distemper/parvo (DAPPv), Bordetella (kennel cough), and canine influenza. The second influenza booster must be given at least 48 hours before boarding.

Cats

  • Wellness and temperament exam
  • A prescription-strength flea medication applied within 30 days of boarding
  • Vaccines: FVRCP and rabies

Food

We encourage you to bring your pet’s own food, since a sudden change in diet can cause diarrhea. If you don’t provide food, we will feed a bland diet at your expense.

Planning Your Pet’s Stay

Schedule your pet’s wellness and temperament exam well before your trip, so there is time to update any vaccines, complete the fecal test, and give boosters on schedule. Packing your pet’s regular food and a familiar item from home can help them settle in.
