Dr. Kaplan Dau
Owner / Veterinarian
Brynie Kaplan Dau is a small animal and exotics veterinarian. She grew up in Pacific Grove and is happy to be back in her hometown, serving the community that she loves. Dr. Dau holds a Master’s degree from Moss Landing Marine Labs and California State University, Monterey Bay in marine science (invertebrate zoology and chemical oceanography) and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine (zoological medicine track). She has spent extensive time working with sea turtles in Greece and the Cayman Islands, marine fishes and invertebrates, and our own California wild seals and sea lions as well. But she has never strayed from her childhood love of cats and dogs. She now works with exotic pets in addition to cats and dogs. Her main interests include feline medicine, soft tissue surgery, dermatology, behavior, dentistry, and ultrasound. In her spare time, she is busy with her twelve- year-old twins Myles and Poppy and her own menagerie – four cats named Elijah, Skylar, Saga, and Forrest, a gorgeous Merle pug named Pearl, and two leopard geckos called Coral and Cloud.
Dr. Kaplan Dau strives to be part of a team with you to do what’s best for your beloved pet. She will always offer the highest quality of care while working with you to manage your pet’s health as well as possible. She takes pride in having excellent communication with you to find the best possible treatment plan for you and your pet. Dr. Kaplan Dau also collaborates regularly with specialists in cardiology, surgery, internal medicine, and ophthalmology to ensure the best care for your pet.

Kathy
Hospital Manager
About Kathy
Kathy was born and raised on the Monterey Peninsula. She has been working in the veterinary field for 12 years. She is passionate about all animals, but especially has a love of large breed dogs. She has a very handsome 10 year-old Rescue Pitty, Jaxton AKA Jax a 90-pound “lap” dog (or so he thinks so), 14 year old Rescue Chi-Weenie, Roxy, that is in control of all of them all. Also an, Ash…5 year old “hearder” ranch dog, that doesn’t live on a ranch, but she thinks she does. “Ash” thinks she’s definitely a special dog… she is. ❤️ Kathy loves camping, boating, and traveling (as long as it’s in the sun.) She is devoted to caring for companion animals. Her ultimate goal is to have a facility dedicated to catering to bully breeds. “Bully” breeds are unfortunately so discriminated against, and they are the most loving breeds, as with all beings, it’s all in how one is taught.

Registered Veterinary Technician
About Briana
I find immense satisfaction in ensuring the best possible care for all creatures, large and small. I have a particular fondness for senior companions, their unique needs, and the special wisdom they carry. Animals whose tongues perpetually hang out hold a soft spot in my heart, too!
Beyond the clinic, you’ll find me outdoors or exploring the area with my son. It’s truly rewarding to find ways to honor the incredible bond between people and their pets.
